Willow Thorne crafts cozy mysteries where small-town secrets, 1970s nostalgia, and "meddling kid" energy collide. Her stories invite readers into close-knit communities where the friendships are strong, the mysteries are architecture-deep, and the coffee is—mercifully—always brewing.
Growing up in a small Midwestern farming community and now serving on her local School Board in Michigan, Willow has a front-row seat to the rhythms and quirks of small-town life. She draws inspiration from the local legends she uncovers and the everyday puzzles found in community meetings and high school hallways.
Because Willow lives with celiac disease, she believes no one should be left out of the "cozy" experience. That’s why every one of her novels includes a hand-crafted, celiac-safe, and gluten-free recipe at the back—tested in her own kitchen and guaranteed to be delicious.
When she’s not plotting her next fictional crime spree, Willow can usually be found hitting a new PR on her Peloton, keeping her cat , Charlie, entertained while she watches the birds outside her home office window, or spoiling her grandchildren. She believes the best mysteries are the ones that make you laugh, gasp, and reach for a second (gluten-free) scone.
Willow loves connecting with fellow sleuths! Follow her for updates on her latest rebranding journey and sneak peeks at Jenna McGregor’s newest cases.
