Hotter than Coffee and a Killer Brew
Hotter Than Coffee and a Killer Brew
A Jenna McGregor Cozy Mystery
After a year of slinging lattes, sidestepping sabotage, and solving the occasional murder, Jenna McGregor was hoping for a season of smooth brews and zero body counts. But when a local professor turns up dead behind her café, she’s once again in the center of Maple Grove’s latest scandal.
With her (maybe) psychic best friend Lisa, retired special-ops neighbor Mildred, and a very skeptical (but frustratingly handsome) police chief, they uncover a trail of secrets leading to a suspicious puzzle club, a buried archive of incriminating documents, and a scandal involving the towns founding families.
In Maple Grove, appearances are charming—but danger brews just beneath the surface. And someone’s about to learn that Jenna won’t back down, even when the truth could get her killed.
Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with quirky sidekicks, slow-burn tension, and small towns with big secrets.

Jenna, Lisa, and Mildred spend a lot at time at Jenna's coffee stop Brewed Awakenings with her regular customers. Then one of the local college professors is murdered and is found behind the shop. The girls decide to see if they can figure out why he was murdered and fall into way more than they were expecting. Professor Patterson had gotten into records that went clear back in the 1800's and the people involved were the people that ran the town and much more. Great mystery and good characters!
